Not Just Loud…Serious Sound

By Guillermo Escobar | Published May 08, 2008

Klipsch recently returned to the mix here at Tweeter. For those of you who don’t know, they make some seriously efficient speakers.

What sometimes surprises people, however, is the depth and detail that you get from them. Klipsch, found in 50 percent of all new theaters in North and South America, has a passion for being the best. Their mission statement reflects their goal, "To be the best-of-class audio solution in all categories that it competes…"

This is a tough mission. Klipsch does its best by using some unique technologies to make their speakers stand out.  Their use of horn-loaded technology results in a very clean, clear and efficient reproduction. Speakers near or above concert level volumes are the norm for this great American speaker company. If you like it loud AND clear, it’s a mistake not to give Klipsch a try.

Klipsch also uses its horn technology to create a more lifelike soundstange.  After properly setting up a pair of Klipsch speakers, stand a couple feet from one of the speakers. You’ll notice that you are able to hear the right front speaker even though you are standing close to the left front speaker. This is a great demonstration of controlled directivity at work. In your home, this will allow you to hear an actual soundstage, not just two speakers.

Klipsch speakers are also famous for their flat frequency response; and delivering sound just as the directors and musicians intended. The speakers don’t insert unnatural sounds, allowing them to sound great without changing original content.

We are happy to have Klipsch speakers back at Tweeter. If you want a kick-butt demo of some Klipsch speakers, just bring in your favorite CD or iPod and prepare to smile.
